Pile foundation and underground continuous wall are widely used in coastal regions, where the character of local soil is always very weak. In recent years, with the development of design method and the advancement of construction technological equipment, many new patterns of piles and underground continuous walls have achieved great development, such as the thin-walled cylindrical pile and the multi-function underground continuous wall, which can be used not only as retaining structure, but also as anti seepage structure and load bearing structure. The bearing mechanism of interaction between such kinds of complex underground structures and soft soil is difficult to realize. Unfortunately, few systemic researches have been engaged on this topic, and there are few references can be consulted up till now.At present, numerical analysis is widely used in such complex structure-soil interaction questions. After constructing the numerical models, stress and deformation of massive structure can be calculated by nonlinear finite element method.Due to the difference of material characters and mechanics behaviors between concrete structures and soils, it is necessary to pay great attention to model appropriate interface element, simulate the constitutive relations of soil correctly and simplify the finite element models of structures to satisfy the numerical precision and efficiency, and the deformation compatibility between structure and soil as well.Based on the summarize of existing interface element patterns involved in the problems of interaction between structure and foundation soil, constitutive relations of soil, numerical simulation methods of structure, considering horizontal deformation and distribution reaction of foundation base, stress analysis of elastic irregular foundation plate on semi-infinite foundation, interaction between piles and foundation soil are researched, and numerical analysis of the underground wall foundation in soft soil are researched as well by adopting generalized displacement method to deal with the deformation compatibility problem between thin-walled structure and soil, adopting thin sheet element to simulate the interaction between thin-walled structure and soil, and an analysis method about simulating the interaction of thin-walled structure and foundation soil is presented finally.According to the research on analysis method about the interaction between hydraulic structure in soft slab and foundation, a reasonable and practical computational analysis method about underground structure in soft soil is presented. Then, this method is applied to the east plate of Punan sea lock of Shanghai and some other hydro-engineerings, and reasonable results achieved finally.
