| With the development of satellite-application requirement, especially, since 1980s'last century, more and more space flight missions can't be accomplished only using single satellite. Then constellation consist of many satellites began to catch people's eye. Generally, the number of satellites in constellation is great, and cooperation is required in a way, so it is not the best choice to use single satellite to determine position autonomously. In this paper, making full use of the constraint of constellation structure, an autonomous navigation method of constellation based on inter-satellite measurement was studied. By analyzing the method mathematically, the basic architecture of autonomous navigation system of constellation was designed. And also, the orbit determination method using whole net, the robust estimation method, and the integrated navigation method based on inter-satellite measurement and stellar refraction were studied emphatically. Followings are the main study in this paper.1) Based on building the condition function of orbit determination of satellite-to-satellite tracking, the coefficient matrix of its normal function was studied. And the relativity of satellite's corresponding orbit elements was analyzed in different cases. By analyzing the inter-satellite measurement net of Walker constellation at some time in geometry and numeric, the correction of system error and random error caused by the change of orbit elements using different type of estimation of inter-satellite measurement net was provided quantitatively. Last, the whole rotational error of constellation was analyzed. And computation method and boundary condition of rotational error were provided.2) For the rank-short problem of inter-satellite measurement net, the architecture of constellation's autonomous navigation was designed. Satellite-to-satellite and satellite-to-ground measurement scheme and time synchronization of measurement were discussed. Last, all factors that influence the navigation precision of constellation were analyzed mathematically, and some useful conclusions were drawn.3) Estimation method of rank-short free net such as the minim norm least squares estimation, biased estimation, and the Bayes estimation was discussed mainly. By analyzing the material methods, the modal of orbit determination using whole net fit for autonomous navigation system of constellation was provided. Meanwhile, in order to reduce computation time, fast estimation method was designed. And by grouping properly, computation rate was improved with the precision of position determination not decreased.4) By analyzing the characteristic of inter-satellite measurement net, the robust estimation scheme fit for inter-satellite measurement net was designed.
