In this dissertation, a practical engineering applied projects in the steel pipe finishing and manufacturing industry(the development of steel pipe bundle intelligent stacking and strapping system) are studied. The theoretical analysis and experimental research are presented in the following aspects. The main research work is shown below:In the first chapter, owing to the necessity of products packing and the development of steel pipe packing system, worldwide investigating development of steel pipe bundle intelligent stacking and strapping system was introduced. Then the key technologies and their researching progress in the proposed system were presented. For the existence of some shortcoming or defection in these key technologies, corresponding analysis and solving strategy were indicated respectively. Finally, the main content of this paper was provided.In the second chapter: to develop steel pipe bundle intelligent stacking and strapping system, the principle of steel pipe bundle stacking was studied firstly. Then on the base of the working performance of three key subsystems (steel pipe horizontal position electro-hydraulic servo-system, steel pipe vertical position electro-hydraulic servo-system and steel pipe auto-strapping system) in the proposed system, significant performance indexes and design strategy for each subsystem were brought forward.At last,according to parameters calculating,main components were selected.In the third chapter, on the base of the modelling for asymmetrical cylinder system actuated by asymmetrical valve, models of steel pipe horizontal position system with dual cylinder and steel pipe vertical position-stacking system with multi-cylinder was educed. Then nonlinear uncertainty that was able to affect position accuracy of steel pipe was analyzed with computer simulation.In the fourth chapter: Rough-fuzzy PID control strategy of steel pipe packing electro-hydraulic servo system was studied.In steel pipe horizontal position system, a two-step fuzzy self-adaptive PID control strategy was proposed and evaluated with system control simulation. In the steel pipe vertical position-stacking system, a self-study rough-fuzzy PID control strategy with position err compensation algorithm was investigated.
