In order to meet the requirements of artillery and missile artillery for speedy and accurate positioning and orienting, the thesis does intensive researches on the technique of Double-satellite/Road integrated positioning and the technique of orienting based on Double-satellite Positioning System. The thesis can be divided into two parts according to its contents. In the first part the Double-satellite/Road integrated positioning is presented as a new method. With the restriction of the road, the positioning errors can be weakened consumedly or even be eliminated on the perpendicular aspects to the road. The simulation results show that the integrated positioning method can obtain a positioning precision better than 10m on Chinese Mainland and the surrounding area. With a precise GPS relative positioning system a local high precise database of roads is established, and then a static experiment and a car dynamic experiment are accomplished with the help of a Double-satellite positioning receiver. The experiments show that the precision of Double-satellite positioning can be increased by 3-5 times by using the integrated method. Therefore, the method is applicable to some special users, such as the artillery and the missile artillery. In the second part the main researches on the technique of orienting based on the Double-satellite Positioning System include the following aspects.Firstly, two systems of Double-satellite orienting and positioning used by artillery are designed and developed successfully. One is ground-used Double-satellite positioning and orienting system especially for towed artillery. The other is vehicle-used Double-satellite positioning and orienting system, which can be installed in self-propelled artillery. The ground-used system has a baseline about 0.8m long. The orientation can be determined by the system in less than 4 minutes with a precision better than 0.06° (1σ). The vehicle-used system has a baseline about 2-3 m long. And it takes less than 3 minutes to complete orienting with a precision better than 0.06°(1σ).Secondly, a new orienting method merely with one geostationary satellite is developed for the first time. The experiment results show that it spends no more than 3 minutes orienting with a precision better than 0.072° (lcr) when the baseline length is 0.8m in length.Lastly, an orienting method with long baseline is designed to meet the need of missile army for high orienting precision. Based on single difference of carrier phase, it works out the initial...
