This study conducted a systematic analysis on the input-output coefficients of agricultural systems for Zhejiang province, taking Pujiang County as a case area. It is a basic part of IRMLA, an EU project aiming at exploring and designing sustainable management options for rice-based agricultural systems in East Asia. Main results of this study are as follows:1. Detailed data of soil, climate, water, land use, crop production population, and socioeconomic information of the last ten years for Pujiang county were collected by literature reviews and from the yearbooks, and input-output data of major agricultural production systems in Pujiang were collected by farm surveys.. All these data were organized in a database established using the EXCEL software.2.Soil unit map, climate zones and land unit map of Pujiang were produced using GIS technology and expert knowledge, based the data collected.3. 24 main land use type were identified and defined for Pujiang County, and then the land suitability for each land use type was evaluated. A database of (TechnoGIN-PuJiang-TP-3) for the TechnoGIN was set up, comprising various components of land use systems, such as land conditions (land unit), soil properties, crop type, yield level, technology level, nutrient (NPK) use efficiency, prices of agricultural products and fertilizers/biocides, inputs of fertilizers, biocides and irrigation water, etc.4. Input-output coefficients of main agricultural systems of Pujiang were calculated using the TechnoGIN model, indicating the economic performance, environment effect and agricultural sustainability for each of the agricultural systems in Pujiang.5. The results reveal that the gross profit of following cropping systems is in an increasing order: Green Manure-Single Rice, Single, Rice-pasture, Single Rice, Oil Seed-Single Rice, Early Rice-Late Rice, Single Rice-sorghum, Sweet corn-Late Rice, watermelon-Late Rice, and vegetable- Single Rice. However, the order of net profit was slightly different. Gross and net profit of 5 rainfed cropping systems is all in the order: Soybean-Sweet Potato< Sorghum
