Nature rubber is widely used in industry, agriculture, national defense, traffic, machinofacture and many other fields for its high elasticity, insulativity, exclusion of water and air, stretch proofing, antifriction and so on. It is important not only for the national defense but also for the industry. It is predicted that the annual consumption of the whole world for natural rubber will be 10,000,000 ton in 2010 and the demand of China will be 3,000,000 ton to 3,500,000 ton. In contrast, the yield of the nature rubber will be 700,000 tons in 2010 according to the unit yield at present. It is urgency to improve the unit yield of the natural rubber. There are many limited factors for the yield of the nature rubber, but tapping panel dryness (TPD) is the most significant one. Presently, it happens frequently with the frequency of 14 to 30 percent in most of the plantations, causing loses of 30 percent. The meetings on TPD hold every anther year to accelerate the research of it. Many hypotheses about the mechanism of TPD have been proposed, but most of them are not so persuadable. Chen et al proposed the hypothesis that TPD is a programmed cell death phenomenon caused by frequent tapping and too much ethylene. They found a gene of HbMyb1which is associated with TPD. The gene codes a protein, which is a My-like transcriptor. Recent research suggested that some of the Myb proteins take part in the programmed cell death in plants. To reveal the relationship among HbMyb1, TPD and programmed cell death, it is necessary to understand the signal pathway from ethylene and tapping wound to the expression of HbMyb1 and to TPD onset. This research is according to the ideas that it is possible to understand the TPD mechanism if we understand the signal pathway based on HbMyb1. In the research, we aimed to identify the regulator gene of HbMyb1 which is part of the work for identify the signal pathway. In the research, we employed the Yeast-One Hybrid to clone the gene that regulates HbMyb1, which is named as Hb2. With the latex Gene-Expression System, we have...
