Mastitis was the most common infectious disease affecting dairy cows and remained the most economically important disease of dairy industries around the world. The lost of dairy cows masittis in the world is about $ 35 billion every year.Mastitis included clinical mastitis and subclinical mastitis. The former made short term milk yield decrease and dairy cows cull too early, and the latter can cause cows infected and milk yield decreased for a long time. Although there are plenty of research about mastitis in the world, there are a number of weakness: the bactria which caused dairy cows mastitis need studied systemicly; so far, we were short of a quick method to detect the major bacteria; in addition, The major cause of bovine mastitis was the infection of the udder by S.aureus, but we have not data about molecular epidermiology and have not better vaccine for S.aureus; at the present subclinical mastitis was not Paid attention to and many farmers took nail-biting to obstinate mastitis treatment. Based on above backgrounds, we carried out a series of studies about dairy cows mastitis. From this study, some results were reported as followings:1. Bacteria which caused udder infection were analysed systemicly. The mastitis dairy cows were investigated on fourteen dairy cow houses in Shandong. A total of 234 clinical mastitis milk samples and a total of 241 subclinical mastitis milk samples were collected for bacterial inspection. The results indicated that: The majority of bacteria which caused clinical mastitis in lactation cows was coagulase-negative Staphylococcus,S.aureus, Streptococcus, yeast and Corynebacterium. E.coli, Streptococcus, coagulase-negative Staphylococci, S.aureus and yeast took major part in clinical mastitis milk samples of dry period cows. The bacteria which took high inspection rates in subclinical mastitis milk samples were coagulase- negative Staphylococci, S.aureus,Streptococcus,yeast,...
