With a vast territory, Inner Mongolia Steppe Region has many gradients including water , temperature and land utilization in virtue of zonal differences of precipitation and temperature and ways of human disturbances, providing a ideal experimental platform for probing into interaction mechanism between grassland ecosystem and global change by means of terrestrial transect . This paper choose Huangpuchuan Watershed located in Eastern Erdos Plateau and Environmental Monitoring Region of Heishantou (Huhnorl) situated in Eastern Hulunbare Plateau , standing for the research station of Warm-temperate Steppe and Moderate-temperate Steppe . Trying to clarify the influence on the vegetation property, biodiversity, numerical structure, growth pattern and reproductive characteristic of the communities and populations, and the response to different temperature gradient and combination of water and heat, offering theoretical basis for decreasing unfavourable influence to the greatest limitation on steppe ecosystem lie in Eastern Land of China from global change . Major findings as follow :1. The comparative study on vegetation background survey of the stations and the comparison on level of phytocoenology on zonal habitats indicates that the diminishment of the numbers of families , genus and species , composition...
