In this thesis, the performance of non-mendelian inheritance in EGSR rice was analyzed. And a comparative study on chloroplast ultrastructure, light harvesting complexes of photosystem II (LHCII) and the contents of chlorophyll synthesis precursors was made between a new rice mutant (W1) and its wild type.In the first part, performance of non-mendelian inheritance in EGSR (Early Generation Stability in Rice) was analyzed. Early generation stability is a special genetic phenomenon in rice breeding practice. We used autotriploid derived from SAR-Ⅲ and several EGSR as parents to cross with some normal diploid varieties. The agricultural traits, genetics and SSR molecular marker analysis were performed in offspring and the recombination and deliver matter of genetic marker were investigated. The main results are summarized as follows:A polyploidy strain Φ 49, which was generated naturally from a Chinese rice twin-seeding population SAR-EQ, had been determined as a triploid. It was then used as the female parent crossing with a normal diploid variety R188. 36 F1 hybrid plants survived and well developed. Then all the F1 paints were identified as diploids by somatic cell chromosome observation. It was interesting that phenotypes of these progenies were uniform and very similar to their male parent Rl88, but were different with those of F1 progenies of other triploid × diploid. To determine genotypic changes of F1 progenies, simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers were used. These molecular markers showed clearly that the F1 progenies were almost homozygous. 44 of the 52 polymorphic SSR markers in these progenies were same to their male parents. Only 5 markers exhibited the heterozygous bands of both parents. The other 3 markers RM163, RM279 and RM218 generated new bands different from both parents. The special F1 hybrids were...
