The questions on response to stress and compensation growth and then relative character between organs at yield forming stage because of using material of seedling stage or adopting potted plant to research drought injury. To set controllable test of pool planting and canopy of drought, studies on effect of growth of roots and leaves on soil layer and genotype and water at flowering stage of maize in drought stress, and then compensation growth after rewaterring. The test estimated water deficit of plant by two type methods of directness and indirection. The result indicated that drought stress at flowering stage bring markedly decline of water capacity of dry soil and coronet relative humidity and then stem sap intensity and bleeding sap intensity and relative water capacity of leaf and transpiration rate and vaporizing water rate, and then bring water deficit of roots and leaves. Lastly this bring markedly affect dry substance accumulating and grain yield of maize. This is a foundation of study on water stress. The studies conclusion as follows.Firstly, morphology and photosynthetic physiology are most directness response of roots and leaves organs to water. Drought stress bring slowly the declines of root system number on most length root nodeposition and distributed layer of colony and root number and length and dry weight per plant and then length and dry weight per root in farming layers. Fast compensation growth of root system after rewaterring, and then root number and dry weight per plant of light drought exceeded compensation growth. At one time and root system, drought stress bring senescence of green leaves under spike, and then affect markedly green leaf area of five leaf up and under spike along with prolonging drought time. Internality representations are to bring markedly the decline of photosynthetic rate and Fv/Fm and Fv/Fo in drought stress, and then this bring markedly the increase of water use efficiency and intercellular-CO2-consistency. Compensation growth at flowering stage incarnate to stay senescence of green leaf, and to urge relative stabilization stage of green leaf per plant and five leaf up and under spike is maybe 7 days.
