| Chronic Prostatitis Syndrome (CPS) is one of the most common diseases with a high ratio of incidence in adult male. It is characterized by complicated symptoms, long process and difficult to treat. The frequent disposition of underbelly, perineum and urethra often has worse influence on male, especially young. Modern medical treating method has a low curative rate and unsatisfactory while Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is showed advantage in treatment of CPS after practice of many years of clinical using and has cautions optimism. Therefore, this article studied the clinical curative effect of Xingyuqingre (XYQR) method for CPS and it's effective mechanisms.Objective: To study the clinical curative effect of XYQR method on the patient of CPS with syndromes of stagnation of Qi, blood and Jingluo and it's mechanisms.Methods: In this study, 216 cases of CPS were divided randomly into two groups of which treatment group had 110 cases and controlled group 106 cases. The patients of treatment group were given Tonglieshu capsule (4 tablet, tid) while those in controlled group given Qianlietongyu capsule (4 tablet, tid). And all patients of the two groups were all given Qianlieanshuan into anus about 3~~4cm. Continued for 4 weeks. The following aspects had been done during the research: (l)To evaluate the total curative effect after treatment. (2)To record the scores of NIH Chronic Prostatitis Syndrome Index. (3)To evaluate pressing pain on prostate. (4)To detect the amount of white blood cell in expressed prostate secretions (EPS). (5)To estimate the quality of sexual life and extent of sexual satisfactory. (6) To observe the changes of psychological condition. (7)To analyze the data by SPSS software.Results:1. Total curative effect after treatment: The effect of treatment group was better than that of controlled group, but has no significant difference (P>0.05) .32. Scores of NIH Chronic Prostatitis Syndrome Index: The NIH scores of pain or discomfort, influence of quality of life, symptom and total score of treatment group were better than that of controlled, and has significant difference (p<0. 01) after treatment. While the score of disposition of urethra had no significant difference compared with that of controlled.3. Pressing pain on prostate: The pressing pain on prostate of treatment group was better than that of controlled after treatment, and has significant difference.4. Amount of white blood cell in EPS: The changes of the amount of white昻 blood cell in EPS of treatment group were significantly better than thatof controlled after treatment.5. Quality of sexual life and extent of sexual satisfactory: The scores of quality of sexual life and extent of sexual satisfactory of treatment group were better than that of before treatment, and has significant difference. While the score of extent of sexual satisfactory of treatment group had significant difference compared with that of controlled group(P<0. 01) after treatment.6. Changes of psychological condition: Totally, before the treatment CPS patients have more psychological problems in many aspects than that of normal being. In the comparison of the two aging periods, the somatization factor score of the younger was higher than that of the older, and had significant difference. After treatment, with the improving of their symptoms, the mental state of patients of the two groups were improved in some extent, and the somatization factor score of the treatment group was lower than that of the controlled group, and had significant difference(P<0. 05) . Conclusion:1. The main pathologic changes of CPS are stagnation of Qi and blood. Patients of CPS have morbid state of mind in more aspects.2. XYQR method had significant curative effect on improving clinical symptomes and can decrease the pathologic state of prostatic tissue of CPS.3.
