Experimental Studies On Treatment Of Pd-Model White Rat By Acupunturing Gpi

It is accepted at present that Parkinson's disease (PD) is an idiopathic encephalopathy to be slowly progressive and intractable, and has no satisfying methods to treat yet.This paper describes and discusses a method to cure the PD-model white rat by acupunturing internal globus pallidum (Gpi) and its influence to rat behavior, relevent bio-chemical criterion and histomorphologyIn this experiment , author prepares a PD-model white rat by injecting the 6-OHDA into the rat's caudate putamen (CPu), and succeeds in designing and conducting the acupunture to rat's Gpi, furthermore ,in treating rat with electrical acupunture ,and finds ,as a result, rat not only survival but also remarkable improvement (p<0.01)in behavior after electric acupuncture.At same time, CPu's DA and its metabolics content somewhat increase, MDA content decrease, and that the content of GSH and GSH-PX increase, so acupunture into Gpi can improve anti-oxygen stress ability of PD-model white rat, and abate lethal damage to dopaminergic neurons bringing out by anti-oxygen stress.This experiment shows that acupunture to Gpi decreases the Glu in CPu, and increases NOS content, so to protect the dopaminergic neurons.Histomorphology detection suggests that apoptotic Nigral cells decreases and TH-postive cells increases after acupunture treatment, and that demonstrate that acupunture into Gpi can reduce the nerve cell apoptosis, increase the release of DA and expression of TH-postive cells, and thereby inhibit the rat rotation behaviour.This experiment proves acupunture into intracephalic nerve nuclus not only feasible but also valid; at one time, it make clear the function mechanism of this kind of treatment, and establishes atheoretical and experimental basis for curing PD by acupimture into Gpi, and provides a new idea and way. The most important is that the task breaks out the parlence in the traditional acupunture treatment that acupunture into innards is impracticable, and enriches the traditional Chinese medicine theory.
