Objective The present study aims to explore the anatomy ofoptic tract and the blood supply of the optic tract and chiasmain man. Especially, microsurgical anatomy of the anteriorchoroidal artery and the blood supply to optic tract. Try to findout the methods of protecting optic tract from embolismtreatment and operation; To study trigeminal nerve ,Pretrosal vein, internal acoustic port; facialnerve ,vestibulocochlear n. , jugular foramen, glossopharyngealn , vagus , Accessory nerve in posterior cranial fossa. Theyform a trigone in posterior cranial fossa., we may quikly findthem on operation in posterior cranial fossa. Methods The first part Microsurgical anatomy and clinicalsignificance of the blood supply of the optic tract. 12 freshhuman adult cadaveric head (24 sides) were examined. Arteries wereinjected with red silicone in all heads and 1 cadaveric head veinsinjected with blue silicone .Then, we observed the blood supplyof the optic tract. Under the microscop. The second part Microsurgical anatomy and clinical significance of the trigone in posterior cranial fossa. 12 formalin-fixed human adult cadaveric head (24 sides) were examined. Arteries were injected with red silicone in all heads. By the approaches of post sigmoid sinus ,we observe the trigone made of trigeminal nerve , Pretrosal vein, internal acoustic port; facial nerve , vestibulocochlear n. .jugular foramen, glossopharyngeal n , vagus , Accessory nerve in posterior cranial fossa. So-that we may quikly find them on operation in posterior cranial fossa. Results The first part Microsurgical anatomy and clinical significance of the blood supply of the optic tract1. The direct branch of anterior cerebral artery to optic tract: Left-Sidedness 5.9 ± 1.8; Right-Sidedness 5.7 ± 2.4.2. The indirect branch of anterior cerebral artery to optic tract: Left-Sidedness 4.3 ± 1.7; Right-Sidedness 4.1 ±2. 3. They reach the dorsal surface of the optic tract in anterior segment.3. Heubner artery: Left-Sidedness 1.6±2.0; Right-Sidedness 1.5 ± 2. O.They reach the dorsal surface of posterior part of the optic tract in anterior segment.4. The direct branch of middle cerebral artery to optic tract: Left-Sidednessl. 3 ±1.1; Right-Sidednessl. 5± 1.45. The indirect branch of middle cerebral artery to optic tract: Left~Sidedness6.9 ± 3.4; Right-Sidedness7.0 ± 3.8. They reach the lateral dorsal surface of posterior part of the optic tract between anterior segment and middle segment6. The branch of posterior communicating artery to optictract: Left-Sidedness 7.8±2.5; Right-Sidedness 8.0±2.3 ±2.37. The branch of anterior choroidal artery to optic tract: Left-Sidedness 9. 3±2.1; Right-Sidedness 9.1±2.6.8. The branch of posterior cerebral artery to optic tract: Left-Sidedness 2.8±1.80; Right-Sidedness 3.0±2.0. Anastomosis with thalamo-geniculate body artery, superior cerebellar artery, post- lateral choroidal artery. The second part Microsurgical anatomy and clinical significance of the trigone in posterior cranial fossa. The dura in posterior cranial fossa form a trigone. There are 3 summit and 3 edge. The extra- superior summit is light - spot, the superior edge is superior petrosal sinus, Left-Sidedness 24. 73 mm±3. 25 mm; Right-Sidedness 25.11 mm±4. 89 mm. The inter-superior summit is Pretrosal vein and trigeminal nerve, the inside edge : Left-Sidedness 19. 56 mm± 3. 65 mm; Right-Sidedness 17. 68 mm±4.10 mm. The inter-inferior Summit is jugular foramen, glossopharyngeal nerve, vagus, accessory nerve , the lateral edge : Left-Sidedness 24.73 mm± 3. 25 mm; Right-Sidedness 20. 86 mm±2. 49 mm. The ternal acoustic port located inside the Triangle near the inside edge of the middle with facial nerve, vestibulocochlear nerve.conclusions The first part Microsurgical anatomy and clinical significance of the blood supply of the optic tract The blood supply of the optic tract includes anterior cerebral artery, H...
