Through investigations on the ancient herbal documents and the curren botanical origins it is concluded that botanical origins of Kudingcha is multiplicative and 4 species produced in Sichuan province.Comparative studies on the boanical .morphological and histological characteristics of four species of Kudingcha produced in Sichuan province. For those four species, characteristics among different species have been summarized for identificantion purporse.Survey on the botanical resources in Sichuan province has been conducted. And it's species.geographic distribution environment and climate for growth have also been summanrized at the same time.Using scanning electronic microscope, the characters of leaf epidemics of four kinds of affinite species have been observed and compared. The result showed that microphology of epidemics were almost coincident. However ,there were obvious difference in cuticle and the hole of stomata.Comprehensively evaluate the qualtites of the Kudingcha produced in Sichuan province for the first time.Content determination of the essential oils and GS-MS analysis of their chemical components,TCLidentification of the chief bioactive components ,cotent determination of Oleanolic Acid, total flavones and mannitol have been carried out.By means of GC-MS .qualitative and qualitative analysis of the essential oils obtained from different species , production areas, and processing methods were carried out.The chemical components and the content of the essential oils vary by the species .production areas and processing methods.Determined by the method of HPLC,the content of Oleanolic Acid in Ligustrum robustum (Hoxb) Blume, Ligustrumpricei Hayat, Ligustrum lucidum Ait. And Ligustrum henryi Hemsl is 0.6809%, .0.2841%, 0.113% and 0.013% respectively..the content in Ligustrum robustum fRoxb) Blume comes to the highest. The total flavones has been determined by spectrophotometry. The result showed that the content of total flavones in Ligustrum robustum fRoxb ) Blume -. Ligustrum pricei Hayat , Ligustrum lucidum Ait. And Ligustrum henryi Hemsl is 66.74 mg/g 1 5.05 rag/g 9.14 mg/g and 24.43 mg/g respectively. The content in the leaf of Ligustrum robustum (Roxb) Blume comes to the highest. The mannitol has been determined by titration method. The result showed that the content of mannitol in four species of Kudingcha produced in Sichuan province vary.and Ligustrwn henryi Hemsl is 3% 6.54% 8.14% and 8.8% respectively.Through pharmacology experimental studies on Ligustrum robustum Blume ,the Anti-inflammatory,Fat-reducing , Anti -coagulation experiment were conduced .The result indicated that Ligustrum robustum (Roxb) Blume has markedly inhibited ears swelling induced by bimethylbenzene and decrease of celial capillary permeability induced by aceti aid in mice.Kudingcha has remarkable fat-reducing effect-Obsity sign has been significantly declined by using Ligustrum robustum (Hoxb) Blume .the Lee's indexes and the wet weight of fat decreaed accordingly.Kudingcha has sharply Anti-coagulation effect. In conclusion. Through the comprehensive studies on th botanial origins , morphological, histological and phytochemical aspects .the subject has laid a solid basis on the qualitiy evaluation and futher research and development of Kudingcha produced in Sichuan province. It is this theme that first reported the leaf epidemics by SEM observe, GC-MS analysis of the essential oils obtained from Kudingcha produced in Sichuan province, content determination of Oleanolic Acid by the HPLC method , content determination of total flavones, content determination of minnitol and the Anti-coagulation experiment.
