Theoretical and experimental researches were introduced in this dissertation. The aim of these researches was to explore the mechanisms and processes concerning to low level laser therapy. The test of oxygen saturation, the process of oxygenation, the spectra of blood absorption and fluorescence, the origin of endogenous porphyrin in blood, the spectral character of porphyrin and the photosensitive reaction of porphyrin were included in these researches.First of all, control experiments were carried out to investigate the influence of low level laser irradiation on oxygen dissociation curve of red blood cell, and on oxygenating process of blood. The result showed that laser irradiation can increase the oxygen carrying ability of blood and can play the anti-anoxic roll under certain conditions. The fluorescent spectrums were tested when blood samples were irradiated by the lights of three different wavelengths respectively. The characteristic "wide" structure of the absorbent peaks of blood was researched. The mechanism of the structure was explained. Based on this explanation, it can be conclude that the absorbent process with electronic transition can be brought on when blood was radiated by red light, and the biological effect can be induced. The origin of endogenous porphyrin of blood was analyzed. The interactional connection among the photosensitive reaction of the endogenous porphyrin of blood, free radicals reaction and the feedback adjust in human body system in the process of intravascular low level laser irradiation therapy(ILLLIT) was elaborated. The mechanism of ILLLIT was explained on a certain extent. To seek for a new path for laser blood therapy, a new method by putting a laser diode (LD) on the back of the hand was suggested. The subcutaneous vein under skin would be radiated by LD according to this method. The experimental foundation of the new method was explained. A set of design program of the laser radiating instrument corresponding to the new method and the manner of irradiation for this instrument was presented in this research.
