Cervical spondylotic is the most common reason to result in peripheral nerve degeneration. It had been one of most commone disease of old people. But now, as the changing of people's living habbit and improvement of diagnostic methode, more and more young and middle-aged people are troubled with the disease.It has not been senile disease any more.Amonge many kinds of the disease, radiculopathy is the most common,which is chronic and attack repeatedly.It belongs to Bi syndrome or Wei syndrome in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM). Many research results have been revealed that the pathogenesis of the disease is closely related to inflammation factor.FuFang JingShu Tablet (FFJST) is kind of new medicine made from TCM proved recipe, which is composed of Rhizoma Chuan Xiong, Radix Dahuricae, Rhizoma Gastrodiae, Rhizoma Cibotii and Hangzhou Flos Chrysanthemi.Through clinical research, the recipe can dispel the wind, quicken blood, strengthen the sinew and bone, stop pain through freeing the connecting vessels.It has affirmatory curative effect on numbness and pain of suffering limb of the cervical spondylotic radiculopathy. It had been proved during prophase pharmacodynamical experiment that the tablet has significant anti-inflammatory and antalgesic effects.In this paper, by the means of SEP measure, radioimmunoassay (RIA), enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), immunohistochemistry (IHC) and molecular biology, effects of FFJST on the inflammatory reaction of neuron and astrocyte in inter vertebral canal nylon suture inserting rat modle and probable mechanisms were studied on astrocyte excitation, cytokines expression, cyclooxygenase-2 expression and transcription factors activation. The chief results are as follows.1 Research on Establishment of Cervical Spondylotic RadiculopathyModel of ratsObjective: To establish fastly, exactly, simply, economically formed acute period cervical spondylotic radiculopathy model. Methods: Used intravertebral nylon suture insert method to make cervical dorsal nerve root continuously compressed. The model rats'general condition, active ability, sensitive ability, and pathological changes in local nerve tissue were observed. Results: Within one week after operation the rats presented obviously guarding behavior, dramatically decrease on mechanical withdrawal thresholds and prolonged latencies...
