The Microsoft VFP database in the plastic and reconstructive surgery of maxillofacial bones.Objective: To program a object-oriented VFP database for the plasticandreconstructive surgery of maxillofacial bones. Methods: Theprogramming softwareis Microsoft Visual FoxPro (VFP)6.0, the system contains four function mode blocks: general informations, congenital, post-injured, post-tumor removal maxillofacialbones deformities and each module includeding the main digital surgery procedures. Results: The database is integrity and logicality, its query is conveniently and intelligencely. The design of the fields in the table in database accord with the special characteristic, the chaining between every tables is credibility. The data dig can be completed. This database can provided Web function and can be upgrade to high level software and can be merge into the superior database. The maintenance of the ststemis cheaply and conveniently. Conclusion: This Visual FoxPro database adapts to the plastic and reconstructive surgrey of maxillofacial bones, it can be used in theclinical works, research works and teaching progrom.A preliminary report about a 3D-based virtual surgery for the plastic and reconstructive surgery of maxillofacial bones.Objective: Using the software 3ds max, set up a 3D virtual environment and investigate the plastic and reconstructive virtual surgery of maxillofacial bones. Methods: Copy the typical computer models of maxillofacial bones deformities. In the3ds max entironment, study the virtual surgery of the plastic and reconstructive opetations of the bone abnormalities contains mandibular, maxilla and zygoma. Results: It can be set up a 3D entironment for the plastic and reconstructive surgery virtual operations, it can be set up some typical deformities of maxillofacial bones, it can be carried through the operations for the virtual surgery. Conclusion: It is a feasible way for the study to the virtual surgery of maxillofacial bones by the 3D entiroment founded by 3ds max.A Web-based data processing platform for the plastic and reconstructive surgery of maxillofacial bones.Objective: Establishing a Web-based data processing platform for the plastic and reconstructive surgery of maxillofacial bones. Methods: The digital platform is structured by these model blocks: professional Web site, remote data transmission, local database, virtual reality operation system. It is connected into world wide web, accomplish professional data processing in a Web-based methods. Results: The Web site' structure is in reason , Web data communicating is credibility. The data communicating between the model blocks in the data processing platform is qualified. Conclusion: By above model blocks, a Web-based data processing platform for the plastic and reconstructive surgery of maxillofacial bones can be build.
