It has been recognized that inhalation of low levels of nitric oxide (NO) has positive effects on the hemodynamic and gas exchange in cardiac patients peri-operatively. The major purposes of this research is to make inhaling nitric oxide procedure safely. We have developed medical nitric oxide analyzer, designed nitric oxide delivery systems for ventilator and anesthesia machine, and managed to control nitric dioxide ( NO2) concentration while clinic using nitric oxide. We have used inhaling 40 ppm nitric oxide to screen patients for operation pre-operatively, to produce selective pulmonary vasodilation post-operatively in patients with congenital heart disease and severe pulmonary artery hypertension, and to control pulmonary vascular resistance in patients with rheumatic heart disease and severe pulmonary hypertension.Ⅰ THE RESEARCH AND VERIFICATION OF MEDICALNITRIC OXIDE ANALYZERNitric oxide, at low concentrations, is a selective pulmonary vasodilator and improves blood/gas match. We developed the medical nitric oxides analyzer — model YY-1 which measures nitric oxide concentrations by the principle of the chemiluminescence of the NO, by which the chemical reaction between ozone and NO gives a light output proportional to the concentration of nitric oxide molecules present. Referring to the verification regulation of national measure test published by the National Technical Supervise Bureau, we have measured and evaluated the function of analyzer model YY-1.Base on environmental and industry chemiluminescence nitric oxide device, we had modified on some electronic elements and gas sampling systems, such as domestic ozone generator, NO2-NO converter, and...
