To evaluate the degree of reversibility of pulmonary hypertension in patients with congenital heart disease (CHD) and PH before surgery is very important. Because the prognosis of the patients with CHD and PH after corrective operation not only depends on the operation success but also the reversibility of PH. In order to assess the degree of the damage of pulmonary vascular bed in patients with CHD and PH, two kinds of studies were performed:1. Pulmonary perfusion imagingSix normal subjects and 33 patients with CHD and PH were studied with quantitative Tc-99m-MAA lung perfusion scintigraphy using the program designed by ourselves. Both lung were divided into 20 segments and the relative perfusion index (RPI) which reflect the regional pulmonary blood flow was measured. If the RPI lower than the normal's (mean-2SD), that suggested the regional pulmonary perfusion was abnormal. All the 33 patients were divided into 2 groups according to the abnormal segment number of RPI. Gl(n=18): RPI decreased <10 segments, indicating that the damage of the pulmonary...
