Objective:γδT cell is the minor subgroup of T lymphocytes that expressed T cell antigen receptor (TCR) γδ. Since γδ gene had been cloned, γδT cell invokes great interests of many immunologists for its unique nature of antigen recognition characteristic of non-MHC restriction and non-specificity to tumor cell. Compared with αβT cell, γδT cell can directly recognize protein molecule to kill the autologous/allogeneic tumor cells without antigen presentation. Unique cytotoxicity of γδT cell to tumor cell have promote some investigators to put forward to a new strategy, that is, this T cell subset will be a promising effector cell used in the adoptive immunotherapy for certain cancer.
