| Inflammation is one of the major pathological processes of many acute and chronic diseases. It might trigger the host-defense system or lead to organ damage and disfunction of body due to out of control of inflammation. Ramulus Cinnamomi belongs to Lauraceae family. It has being used to treat many diseases such as Biao syndrome since ancient time. Modern research demonstrate that inflammation is the main pathological change of Biao syndrome. VORC(the Volatile oil of Ramulus Cinnamomi) is the effective parts of Ramulus Cinnamomi to cure inflammation. Results of our quondam project show that VORC are effective against acute , chronic and immunological inflammatory damages. The pharmacological function has related with decreasing the production and releasing of inflammatory factors and inhibiting oxygenie damage. It is demonstrated that inflammation is caused by mistaken transduction of inflammatory and immunological signals. Among them loll signal transduction is of great importance. This research focus on the effectiveness of VORC on acute pneumonia and the impact of Toll signal transduction passway and the PTK(Protein Tyrosine Kinases). which is the target of molecular crosstalk of many inflammation signal passways.Objective:to explore the relationship between anti-inflammation of VORC and the major targets of Toll inflammatory signal transduction passway: to demonstrate the molecular mechanism of anti-inllammation of VORC and to provide modern evidence for Xin-tastes.Methods:using real-time PCR. gene-clone, Elisa and Pathological techniques, to investigate the impacts of VORC on the gene expressions of TLR2, TLR4, MYD88 ,the contents of P- IκB-α,NF-κB P65, TNF-α, IL-1β and PTK vitality on rat acute pneumonia model induced by LPS.
