It is a very important procedure for hepatic fibrosis during the progress from hepatic diseases to cirrhosis and carcinoma, in which it shows a non-reversible changes even if the etiological factor was removed or the treatment was offered promptly. So, it has great meaning to improve its prognosis if a effective method can find to inhibit its progressing.In recent years, the study about the plasticity of bone marrow haemopoietic stem cells (HSCs) has made great progress. The HSCs can differentiate hepatic cells that can secrete albumin has been proved after it was transplanted in vivo, which supply a new resource for treatment of hepatic diseases. The HSCs has greater proliferation capability and fainter immunogenicity when compared with mature hepatic cells, which it has advantage to act as the donor-cells to substitute hepatic cells to some extent. The perspective of clinical application of HSCs is distinguished. The progress of technique of hepatic regeneration will make the dream of using a few HSCs to substitute all hepatic cells and achieve the effect of orthotopic hepatic transplantation become the reality.HSCs haven't distinct morphological characteristics and exist as single-nuclear blast cells that similar to lymphocyte.
