The flavonoids are compounds with biological activities. Recently studies has shown that such they have a high efficiency of antiinflammation, antivirus, clearing away gall, strengthening function of heart, ease pain and sedation as well as preventing oxidation, preventing senescence, regulation of immunity and anti-tumor and so forth. The mainly chemical components of Cottonrose Hibiscus are flavonoids, such as quercitrin, isoquercitrin, hyperoside, piracoside, anthocyanin, rutin, kaempferol 3―o―β―rutinoside, kaempferol-3-o-robinoside,kaempferol―3―o―β―D―(6―E―p―hydroxycinnamoy)-glucopyranoside and so on.It has found that it can inhibit bacteria as well as protect kidney from injury by re-perfusion. Cottonrose Hibiscus had played an important role in anti-inflammation, eliminating turgescence, treating appendicitis, mumps, arthritis and erysipelas for external use and oral administration. Study had found that Cottonrose Hibiscus could inhibit the secretion of HBsAg and HBeAg from HepG 2.2.15 cells. The mechanism of its protecting liver, anti-HBV and suppressing tumor was studied by pharmaceutical effects of Cottonrose...
