Objective:Adenovirus-mediated CD/5-FC(Cytosine deaminase/5-fluorocytosine) system have been proved can suppress the ovarian cancer cells growth by our previous study. In order to achieved effective killing of tumor cells without harming normal cells , we construct a new adenovirus vector carrying CD gene under the control of tumor specific gene promoter-the human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) promoter, and evaluate antitumor effects of recombined adenovirus combined with 5-fluorocytosine on human ovarian cancer cells and human embryo lung fibroblast cells(HELF) in vitro.
