Hepatitis C virus(HCV)has been shown to be the major cause of parenterally acquired viral non-A, non-B hepatitis. In most cases, the virus causes a persistent infection, and previous studies clearly indicate an association between chronic infection with HCV and the development of chronic liver diseases, cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma. Approximately 500 million people is chronically infected in the world. Unfortunately, up to now vaccines prepared with traditional approach often fail to work owing the variability of HCV.
