TMJ is the (?)ly joint in maxillofacial region. With the development of biology more and more attention has been paid to multiple-factor analysis of the biological characteristics of TMJ with modern technology. It is very difficult to take tissue sample from of TMJ because of its anatomical and functional specialty. Up to now, there are few reserarch reports on normal human TMJ syno(?)ial membrane cells. The synovial membrane is very important tissue structure in TMJ with many functions, the biological changes of the membrane are closely related to TMJ diseases. In this study we aimed at the biological characteristics of normal human TMJ synovial membrane cells(SMCs) in order to get better understanding of the mechanism and the treatment of TMJ disorders.1. Human TMJ synovial membrane cell line was established .The cells were growing stably in vitro and easier to be tryprizted than TGC and NMC direved from the same sample. but grew slowly, The SMC cell line has been transfered more then 30 passages in vitro. Cells were scattered or net-like distributed when cultur(?) The low density in vessels. Most of the cells are short shuttle and some polygonal in shape. Chromosome analysis showed that more than 85% of SMCs were diploid with 23 pair of chromosomes. After freezed in liquid...
