The mortality rate of lung cancer is the highest of all malignant tumor in the world and about 2/3 patients need definitive radiotherapy(RT), including 10~15% patients of Stageâ… ,â…¡who cant't adure operation because of internal medicine(for example:the patient with poor pulmonary function), also 30~40% advanced patients without operation and a part of patients of Stageâ…£. With the rapid development of radiotherapy technology, the tumor controll rate and the survival rate have enhanced to certain degree. At the same time, it is a prominent question to radiation-induced acute pulmonary toxicity, especially for the lung cancer patients who received radiotherapy and chemotherapy. The incidence of acute pneumonitis after thoracic irradiation(TRT) is from 5% to 36% according over-seas literature. Respiratory failure is one of the main causes of death caused by pulmonary toxicity, and once occurred we have no satisfying remedial measure at present. Post-radiotherapy pulmonary function status relates directly to patient's treatment effect and the survival quality. Therefore, it has become an important topic to find factors predicting radiation-induced acute pulmonary toxicity as well as the influence in pulmonary function changes.Firstly, to investigate the pulmonary function change tendency after TRT, and discover sensitive parameter to RT in pulmonary function tests(PFTs). 33 patients with lung cancer were dynamic examined in PFTs at pre-RT and post-RT,1,2 and 3months after radiotherapy(RT). Secendly, Does-volume histograms(DVH) is a commonly accepted method in assessment 3-Dimension conformal radiotherapy(3-DCRT) plan. It has vital clinical significance by showing the relations between the dosage and the volume in target area and the normal tissue simply and clearly, especially the normal tissue dosage tolerance and volume metrics . So, 39 lung cancer patients were examined in...
