Pu'er Tea is a special tea of Dark Green Tea which is only made in China and has been used as a beverage in many places of the world for long time. It is proved that Pu'er Tea has functions of lowering blood glucose and blood lipid by pharmacological studies. For higher demanding of people's quality life and health, Pu'er Tea is favored by more and more people in recent years. But the active components in Pu'er Tea are unknown, which badly restricts the development of health industry of Pu'er Tea. In this study, the aim is mainly focused on exploring and separating active ingredients for anti-diabetes and anti-hyperlipidenmia from Pu'er Tea by using the technology of modern isolating and high throughput screening , to offer some theories for opening up and using Pu'er Tea in all-around, systemic, and reasonable ways. The results were as follows:1. Studying the pharmacological activity in Pu'er Tea extraction by High Throughput Screening MethodHigh Throughput Screening Method is the main technology to screen drugs currently, and is used widely by many foreign drugs research institutes because of the characteristic of micro-quantity, speediness and high efficiency. This paper used PPAR model of High Throughput Screening, being the first time in Pu'er Tea study, to screen active compounds of Pu'er Tea. The result showed that all kinds of extracted parts of Pu'er Tea acted on PPARα faintly, and there were more active constituents in ethanol extraction than in water extraction. In the ethanol extraction, the petroleum ether fraction had the strongest action on the PPAR5, and the action time was 2.023. Both chloroform and ethyl acetate fractions had the action on PPARγ, and the action time was 1.554 and 1.531 respectively. It implied that the petroleum ether fraction, chloroform fraction and ethyl acetate fraction were the anti-diabetes and anti-hyperlipidenmia parts in the crude extraction of Pu'er Tea.
