ObjectiveTo explore the correlation between the perceptual evaluations and the acoustic parameters of oesophageal voice and the tracheo-esophageal prosthetic voice and the application of the acoustic parameter analysis system of MDVP (Multi Dimensional Voice Program) in them. In the mean time, the valuable parameters were deduced by analyzing the voice quality and the acoustic parameters.Methods20 were laryngectomized esophageal speaker, and 18 were laryngectomized. tracheo-esophageal speaker. These patients used the oesophageal voice and the tracheo-esophageal prosthetic voice as the main communication method respectively.Perceptual evaluations included unsteady-steady, weak-powerful, dull-clear, breathy-not breathy, low-high of the sustained /a/, the control ability of oesophageal voice and the tracheo-esophageal prosthetic voice. The scale abnormal-normal was added to give an overall evaluation of the voice quality of the sustained /a/, sentence abnormal- normal was added to give an overall evaluation of the voice quality of the sentence in the story "boreas and sun". 5 five-point scales were used to grade.MDVP of Kay Elemetrics was used to analyze the acoustic parameters. Sampling rate was 44kHz. Acoustic parameters of 3 seconds sustained /a/ of oesophageal voice and the tracheo-esophageal prosthetic voice were abstracted.For statistical analyses, Pearson correlation and PCA (Principle Component Analysis) in SPSS software package were used.
