14 samples of human endometrial carcinomas were subcu-taneously heterotransplanted into nude mice (BALB/C nu/nu), 2 of them have been transplanted for 14 passages successfully , the other 3 have been made for 4,5,6 passages respectively during nearly 2 years. Model 1 was well differenciated adenocarcinoma, named S-L-1 . Model 2 was poorly differenciatedadinocarcinoma, named S-L-2 . Initial take rate was 35.7%, then it increased to 100% after 5th passage. Studeis by histology, electro-microscope, immunohistochemistry, human Alu repetitive hybridization and chromosome analysis showed that the characterisics of the two transplaned tumours were identicalto those of human donour tumor. Cytometric analysis on the two xenografts of 3rd and 9th passages revealed that the DNA ploidy was consistent for 5-L-1 , but changed for S-L-2 . At 3rd and 7th passages of the two models, immunohistochemical stain of anti-human keratin showed positive , Southern blot hybridization revealed that the two xenografts contained human Alu repetitive sequence.Through serial passages, no metastases were found grossly and under microscope in liver and lung of the nude mice.
