Itroduction: The new entity "Fatal Bbacteria Granuloma after Trauma" (FBGT) is a chronic fatal infectious disorder, which is founded by Professor Gao Tianwen in 1996. There have been 20 FBGT cases who were diagnosised as sarcoidosis or fungal infection treated with glucocorticosteroid, agents against bacterium and fungi by some senior dermatologists in other hospitals. Unfortunately, all of the cases were dead from brain involvement after 1 to 4 years. The pathogens of the disorder had not been identified by isolation and culture of bacterium and fungi. The other staffs in our group have successfully isolated gram-positive bacilli from the case's skin lesion after intensive review and appropriate modification of isolation methods. The pathogens of the FBGT are Gram posive bacilli. The uncertainities of which species and strain the bacilli belonging to, the death cause of the sufferers and the pathogenesis of the new entity are the greatest barrier in the way of the treatment and further investigation into FBGT. Objectives: To identify the species and strain of the bacilli isolated from the case's skin lesion, PCR, sequencing of the bacilli's 16S rRNA and DNA hyridizaion with known P. acnes strain are employed; to detect the the bacilli's 16S rRNA in the two dead cases' brain lesions...
