Breast Cancer is one of the female common malignant tumors in our country. Many studies have been done on the etiology and survival analysis of breast cancer in the past few years by either domestic or alian scholars .The standard mortality rate of breast cancer in Guangdong is 2.36/100000 and belongs to low-level in our country. Little report on both case-control study and survival analysis of breast cancer in Guangdong has been found. In order to explore the risk factors of breast cancer, a matched case-control study has been conducted based on 113 pairs newly histo-logically confirmed breast cancer patients in Guangzhou from August, 1987 to February, 1989 and age-matched control women by stage sampling from population. In addition, a data set of all female breast cancer patients in Zhongshan city in 1970-1983 and 1809 female breast cancer hospital patients in 1966-1983 in tumor hospital, Guangzhou were collected and analysed respectively with Cox's model and Cox's models of multistate stochastic processes for possible prognostic factors.
