Objective:1. To identify the neuroendocrine differentiation of ovarian epithelial tumors, and to study their biological characteristics.2. To study the effect of IL-24 on the induction of apoptosis and on the neuroendocrine differentiation of in vitro cultured ovarian tumor cells. Methods:1. The expression of chromogranin A (CgA) in epithelial ovarian tumor group (n=79) and control group (n=22) were detected and evaluated by immunohistochemistry. And then positive specimens were examined using two antibodies against CgA/EMA (epithelial membrane antigen, EMA) and Ki67/CgA by immunohistochemical double staining and using terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling and an antibody against CgA by double staining. All results were evaluate by image analysis system.2. The ultrastructure of neuroendocrine cells (NECs) in normal ovary group of reproduction age(n=3), ovarian serous adenoma group (n=3), ovarian mucinous adenoma group (n=3), ovarian serous adenocarcinoma (n=3) and their transplanted...
