[Objective] In order to evaluate the quality of the expertisal conclusion andformat quality evaluation model in the forensic medicine and law. Theappropriate indices were choosen to evoluate the autopsy expertisal reports inthe forensic pathology. In addition, all the factors that affect the autopsyexpertisal conclusion were analyzed in order to bring forward the reasonablemeasure for improving and perfecting the quality of autopsy expertise by thetheory idea both in forensic medicine and law.[Methods] Several indices were chosen to verify for their weights andhierarchizes each case from 2002 to 2005 in the Center of Forensic Medicinein Sichuan University. After transforming the figures to SPSS data, embarks ttest, x~2 test and rank-sum test were carried out, in order to search for thestatistic meaning in it. Then the affected factor and principal componentwere analysed on the relevant indices, establishes forensic medical andjurisprudential evaluation model on autopsyexpertise quality, and analysesthe relevant indices that affect the expertise quality.[Results] Comparison of the scores of forensic medicine and legal, the lamerwas 88.70±8.11, whereas the latter was: 92.84±2.39. The mean of legal scorewas higher than that of the forensic medicine (t=-7.291, P=0.000). Theanalysis disclosed that the indices which affect the quality of autopsyexpertise conclusion firstly is the basic autopsy work, including the design ofthe scheme, the record of the autopsy, the relevant lab-test and-forensic medicine pathology diagnosis. Secondly, it is the use of the scientific theoriesby the forensic appraiser, including the expertisal analysis and the conclusionaccording to the analysis. In addition, whether the consignor is eligible andunderstanding the details of the case can also affect the expertisal quality.Sound files management is beneficial for improving the expertise quality. Thejurisprudential indices which affect the autopsy expertise quality firstlyconsider the canonical expertise writ: the use of proper materials andscientific theories, sound expatiation of the expertise conclusion, the accurateuse of inferential method make the expertise conclusion can be understoodand can eliminate the adverse factors, and whether the design of the autopsyscheme and the detailed autopsy process is accord with the relevant rules andstandards. In addition, whether the autopsy expertise consignor is eligible isalso significant to jurisprudential evaluation.[Conclusions] High quality autopsy expertisal conclusion is based on:suitable and eligible consignor; guarantee of appraiser's right to know.Autopsy plans and process should strictly be abserved the professionalstandards and meet request of the individual case. The execution of theexpertisal document should be external, impartial, practical, realistic, comprehensive, systemic and accurate. The expertise test materials should beauthentic, relevant, objective and legitimate. The scientific theories andprinciples applied should be dependable, testable, and the mistakes can beconfirmable and can be checked by the peer. In addition, independentappraiser system is the foundation of the appraiser responsibility system.
