This thesis is a study of theater and performance history, theater in Shanghaiduring the late Qing Dynasty as a background, history of the Republic of China forclues, from theater and architecture research areas, visits Shanghai’s theaters, cinemas,opera and other theatrical spaces during the Republic of China period (1912~1949).Historical narrative, mainly from the theater, heritage and turnover, repertoire,shape and structure, stage scenery, choreography practitioners introduce its history.Analysis of arguments, mainly from the influence and impact of the evolution ofChinese theater, looking for inter-cultural between the two related condition, thelongitudinal dimension of combing traditional Chinese theater in changes in thegenetic inheritance, gene mutations. On this basis, the establishment of the theater tosurvive the chronology, the files of the development of the industry in choreography,stage arts course of evolution, the Shanghai Theater files Buque Republic ofChina.Investigation and study follows several elements: First, backgroundinvestigation and analysis of theater in Shanghai before Republic of China established;Second, fully ascertain the number, the location, the size and the abolition Profile ofthe theater; Third, describe the history of their repertoire and important performanceevents; Fourth, making the Shanghai Theater survival chronology, theaterperformances chronological Department Chronicle tables, making several mapidentifies theater distribution and regional location; Fifth, description theaterrepertoire and stage arts set design, write a small biography of Republican Shanghaistage art, analysis of the historical evolution of stage art. Sixth, after the completion ofthese missions, the history of the Republic of China as a whole venues to make theoverall description of the context combing and macroscopic characteristics andtransmutation law judge, test probe the origins and impact of the evolution of theShanghai Theater. Finally, as a follow-up project, consider the recovery to completethe construction of several major theater model.The goal of this study is to investigate the origins of the traditional theater of theShanghai, combing the shape of the modern Chinese theater and stage arts,exploration into the theater stage evolution, buque Shanghai theater history, overallmacro finishing20th century stage venues and evolution analysis.
