The Study On Yanmen Pass Mode Of Ecological Animal Husbandry In Loess Plateau

As a new operation type in animal husbandry, ecological animal husbandry has many different kinds of theoretical basis and practical paths at home and abroad. The mode of Yanmen Pass has developed an exemplar in the Loess Plateau on the foundation of practice in Yanmen Pass ecological animal husbandry economic zone in past12years. This dissertation mainly researched the construction of Yanmen Pass ecological animal husbandry economic zone on the background of ecological vulnerability by following the train of research on comprehensive management of the loess plateau. In view of origin of formation and dilemma of the loess Plateau, this dissertation reviewed the construction thought, support policy, technology maintenance, project layout, implementation effect and successful experience of Yanmen Pass ecological animal husbandry economic zone based on a historic analysis of ecological condition and industrial characteristics of Yanmen Pass region. It concludes the law of construction of ecological restoration by implementing ecological priority strategy and grass planting method (grass planting irritation-forest restoring) from the perspective of instance evaluation. The germplasm resources of livestock and poultry is proposed as the foundation and strategic resources of the development focusing on protection and development of unique and precious livestock and poultry germplasm resources in Yanmen Pass region depending on the resources and development potential investigation. It puts emphasis on fine breed promotion and network reconstruction of animal epidemic prevention system as well as positive role of promotion of artificial insemination and embryo transfer technology in large range. It suggests promoting the change of livestock forage and production mode of animal husbandry economy by adopting practical improvement and gradual alteration substituting for radical reform. It defines the mode of Yanmen Pass as the ecological animal husbandry of comprehensive conservation and coupled model of agriculture, forestry, grass and grazing with three support points:industry, policy and profit in the area of ecological deterioration. According to the study, the mode of Yanmen Pass can be used as the model of conservation in the Loess Plateau for providing with more space of development of ecological animal husbandry and bringing the situation of environmental degradation of the area of ecological fragility under control. As one important part of the development of western region and rising strategy of central China, it plays an essential role in maintaining ecological security in north China.
