With the development of the logistics industry, the importance of logistics network is more and more outstanding. Now, logistics network has been regarded as the most valuable asset to a logistics enterprise. Therefore, it’s very important to solve such problems such as how to build a cheap and efficient logistics network, how to improve the efficient of a logistics network. In fact, a logistics network had formed gradually instead of planning beforehand. The formation of a logistics network more performance for a process than a result. Along with the change of the demand, the scale of the node, the transport route, and the delivery range will adjust accordingly. With the new nodes and lines joined the old logistics network in some way, the logistics network will develop gradually.Based on the characters of the logistics network in reality, this paper regarded the logistics network as a constantly changed system, the structure has evaluated with the demand, environment and other aspects. This paper studied the structure and the evolution mechanism of the logistics network. Then put forward the evolution model and the method of judge the type of a logistics network. The research contents of this paper are summarized as follows:(1) Build the evolution mechanism of logistics network. In this section, through analyze the balance of logistics, this paper put forward the basic factors that promote the evolution of logistics network. Logistics network should evaluated to different shape because the differences of fixed costs, variable costs, logistics quantity, and economies of scale. Only when the earnings is bigger than the cost, the logistics network should changed.(2) Build the basic evolution pattern of logistics network. In this section, the logistics network is classified to some form, and the characteristics of each form are studied. The process of logistics network evolution can be divided into primary evolution and the further evolution. This paper analyzed each process of the evolution of logistics network. In this section, the emerge conditions of the initial edge, access edge, and afresh edge are studied too. The basic method to analyze the evolution of the logistics network has been built.(3) Build the evolution models of logistics network. In this section, the method of logistics cycle conforming is put forwarded. The model of conform nodes in the network is built, and the law of edges emerge is put forwarded too. In the end, the problem of logistics network evolute continual has been studied.(4) Build the evolution models of complex form logistics network. In this section, the conditions and processes of evolution of ring network, tree network, hub and spoke network, reticular network, and complete graph network are analyzed. The analysis include the origin of each kind logistics network, and the influence of each factors such as logistics demand, transportation expenses, economies of scale, influence factors of variable costs, access fees and influence factors of access.(5) Put forward the method of judge the type of a logistics network. In this section, the paper analyzed how to using the method of statistical analysis, according to the characters of factors to judge the type of a logistics network. The factors which been employed include accumulate degree distribution curve, average path length, cluster coefficient and framework of network. Then the construction cost, the efficiency and the reliability of each kind of network is analyzed.Based on the results of this paper, the develop direction of the network can be foreseen. Furthermore, through judge the type of a logistics network, the characteristics of the network can be understood, by changing the key factors in the evolution process, the network could become more and more optimized.
