Through twenties year development, microwave remote sensing technique has been used in application. According to that, the paper discusses some keys around geometrical information extraction from SAR image, which mainly include SAR image radargrarninetric proceeding SAR image matching, radarclinometiy and union proceeding of SAR image and optical image. By the research in the paper, the main points of the theory of spatial information extraction from SAR image have been broke out, so the good base is made for the terrain application system of our country first radar satellite. In total, author work include mainly:I. The models of SAR imaging are described totally and those points are discussed. Based on equivalent collinearity equation, a method to calculate orient elements accurately is proposed, which include a way of select dynamical imaging orient elements and a way to solve orient elements step by step, so the error is reduced. The theory frame of SAR image radargranimetric proceeding is constructed based on equivalent collinearity equation. The theory and method of stereo image pairs?orientation, model setup, computation of model coordinates and orthorectification are discussed, and experiments are done to prove.2. Through the analysis of geometrical and radiation natures of SAR image, automatic matching technique is proposed. Comparative to classical optical images matching algorithm, main improvement lies in despeckling and geometrical and radiation correct in matching window.3. By studying feature extraction in SAR image, a multiple layer model for structure information extraction is proposed. It includes polygon. edge and texture extraction and matching, and subj,ixel-matching method also is advised.4. The basic theory and method of radarclinometry is discussed, and the basic step is realized. A way of combining StereoSAR and RadarclinomeUy is presented. And the result proves that the combination of multiple techniques can improve the accuracy of DEM.5. A frame of union proceeding SAR and optical image is provided, which include different layer combination. The main concepts have multi-sensor combined adjustment, common feature extraction, image matching, image fusion and information fusion. The basic theory and method is discussed, and corresponding experiments are complete.6. Based on theories and methods described, an experimental system is constructed to realize digital mapping of SAR image, image matching and image fusion etc.
