Two problems are discussed in this thesis: "How does the idea of 'robot' ' formed " and "What is its influence". The first is solved by analyzing the essence of technique; the second is solved by investigating the relationship between human being and robots.Technique is work, one kind of human activities; the other two is labor and action. These three are essential for a man to do in his life. Followed Aristotle, the technique is defined as work that means a process with a beginning, the idea in thought, and an end, the final product, And between the idea and product is the course in which materials are processed and tools are used. The whole process is one that belongs to a structure of from creator to product, which is put as "creator-product". There are two thinking model, instrumentalism and idealism, are shaped in the brain of a creator. And these two model are not stopped functioning after the process, it goes on effecting on man, that means it slops over the structure of "creator-product" and invades in the territory of men. Thus, the invading is the reason for the forming of the idea of 'robot'. Man is considered is a tool by the instrumentalism, and is further reduced as a function. The body and mind are replaced by mathematical machine with the affection of idealism. For these two sakes, man is considered as a idea in thought, something like the idea of certain product, and this is the cognition of "Man as a machine", which is equal to robot. The influence of the idea of robot lay on the relationship between marl and robots. With the affection of instrumentalism and, if the movement is regarded as equal as the labor of man, then the machine can take the place of man land the result is the tragedy, which was described in K. Marx's The Capital, that worker is deprived of their life materials because of the using of machine. With the affection of idealism, the mind is reduced as calculating ability, thus the computer can take the place of mind. And the result is the fear that the computer may exceed man one day. With the affection of instrumentalism, what will happen if man confronts a real robot, a mechanical life, which is appeared only in Science Fiction? The conclusion of investigating the relationship between human being and robot is that all the troubles are made by the slop over of instrumentalism and idealism, and this also proves the mistake of the forming of the idea of robot.
