Highly Charged Ions(HCIs) related researches have a great influence on the atomic structure, relativistic theory, quantum dynamic mechanics theory and astrology, fusion plasma research.EBIT(electron beam ion trap) is a device which is capable to produce the highly charged ions.It is small compared the accelerators, thus cost less.It is a combination of light source and ion source,i.e.not only spectroscopic research based on the photon emission of the HCIs are capable, but also collisional experiments with extracted ions. The main work of this thesis is to construct the collisional experimental platform based on Shanghai EBIT.Mainly the construction of the reaction microscope. The main continents are as follows:Ⅰ.After carefully simulation,a new type of recoil ion momentum spectroscopy has been designed with toroidal magnetic field used for the electron branch, which is able to project both fast(>2 keV) and slow(~100 eV) electrons onto a position sensitive detector which is away from the projectile beam. This work is published in Measurement of Science and Technology.Ⅱ.We mounted a MCP(multi-channel plates) position sensitive detector encoded with delay-line anode and the corresponding circuits and electronic modules. Based on VME system we developed the data acquisition system with Visual Basic codes.A precise test of the DAQ system and the detector has been done, the results are published in Nuclear Science and Techniques.Ⅲ.Careful calculation of the effect of the electrostatic and magnetostatic field on the time of flight spectrum results in a design of TOF system.Ⅳ.The design and mounting of the super sonic gas jet system as well as the reaction chamber. The above is the main part of this thesis.
