In this paper, compositive research techniques including of numerical simulation, theoretical analysis and in-situ measurement are carried out to investigate the caving coupling effects of stress field and gas field in coal seam with highly gas,based on stress and gas pressure interrelationship experiment of containing-gas coal, make use of gas and solid coupling parameter testing instrument of containing-gas coal with self-invention.The results show that there are identical tend of permeability gas pressure and stress, permeability and gas pressure are controlled distribution and evolvement of stress,and typical coupling effects of stress field and gas field in coal seam with highly gas are disclusured. There are volume expansion zone in front of face,and the law of gas pressure disbalance involume expansion was found. The equation of coupling of stress and gas pressure in volume expansion are constructed,the behavior of volume expansion is main factor of gas adsorption and desorption,and gas pressure accident and highly gas gradient are occurred easily in volume expansion,the dynamic accident are proper controlled with the caving stress are controlled firstly. The results provide important references on the mining of safty and highly active, the mechanics of coal and gas outburst are supplied in coal seam with highly gas, and the theory of effective control of coal and gas outburst are provided.
