In view of the current research progress of the organic photovoltaic materials and devices, this thesis focuses on the synthesizing the small molecular material and improving the small molecular material properties, solubility and absorption. Soluble copper phthalocyanine and porphyrin phthalocyanine conjugate with broad absorption are prepared. The performances of photovoltaic devices based on these prepared materials are investigated. Then the effect of the ratio and annealing temperature on the device performance are studied.Firstly, a soluble phthalocyanine derivative, tetracarboxyl copper phthalocyanine (CuTCPc) is synthesized to prepare the device containing phthalocyanine by solution spin-coating process. CuTCPc can be used as the donor material and also can be used as an interlayer in solar cells. The device with CuTCPc as the interlayer can be regarded as a parallel connection of two individual subcells, one bilayer heterojunction subcell and another bulk heteroj unction subcell.Second, TDPP is obtained by nucleophilic substitution reaction with THPP and4-nitrophthalonitrile. Then ZnPor-O-ZnPc and ZnPor-(O-ZnPc)4are prepared by the reaction of TDPP with SubPc and phthalonitrile, respectively. These new complexes are characterized by means of elemental analysis, MS spectrometry, HNMR, IR spectroscopy and UV-visible spectroscopy to confirm that the products are the target compounds. The absorptions of ZnPor-O-ZnPc and ZnPor-(O-ZnPc)4are the superposition of absorption of the porphyrin and phthalocyanine, respectively. Both of their absorption ranges are from300to700nm.Finally, ZnPor-O-ZnPc and ZnPor-(O-ZnPc)4are used respectively as the donor and mixed with PCBM to prepare heteroj unction solar cells. The properties of cells with ZnPor-O-ZnPc and ZnPor-(O-ZnPc)4as the donor material respectively are superior to that of cells containing single porphyrin or phthalocyanine. The device based on ZnPor-(O-ZnPc)4obtains the best performance among all prepared devices. When the ratio of ZnPor-(O-ZnPc)4and PCBM is4:1and the photoactive layer is annealed at140℃, the device of ITO/PEDOT:PSS/ZnPor-(O-ZnPc)4:PCBM/LiF/Al possesses the best performance with JSC4.68mA/cm2, VOC0.63V, FF57.5%and η1.58%. In addition, ZnPor-(O-ZnPc)4is used to prepare solar cells with different structure TiO2. The results show the best performance of such kind solar cell is achieved when the morphology of TiO2is nanotube.
