In our country, agricultural production has largely depended on fertilizers, pesticides and auxin. It is imperative to look for the new measure for higher yields.Pollination is an important element in the agricultural production, but wildpollination resources can no more meet the modern agricultural production, andartificial raised bees are playing a more and more important role in pollinating theircrops. For many years, the basic relationship between the development ofbeekeeping and our agricultural production has been departed. As an important inputelement of agricultural production, bees pollination has long been ignored. Measuresfor increasing production of bees pollination are almost shelved, and the effect of thebeekeeping industry cannot be made full use of. The whole industry comes to amargin of agricultural production. Science has accurately assessed the economicvalue of bees pollination. It is an important step to the bees pollination in China thatraising the community awareness about bees pollination. Yet these studies have littleresearchers before. Therefore, this paper tries to give a systematic assessment for thevalue of the bees pollination in China. On the basis of a review about documents home and abroad which focused onthe bees pollination and its value, this paper grasps the basic value framework andemerging research fronts currently domestic and international about the value of beespollination. Through system analysis of the basic theory of the relevant economicsand ecological service, the classification and selection of the value of beespollination comes out. Combine the research status home and abroad with nationalcondition, this paper chooses market interdependency method, cost substitutionmethod and contingent value method (CVM) to study the value of bees pollination indomestic. It turns out that (1) the bees pollination is one of the important agriculture inputfactors with immense economic value. The output elasticity of bees pollination to thetotal value of out-put is significantly positive. Bees pollination makes a economicvalue contribution of304.22billions to the production of36kinds of crops, accounting for36.25%of total output value of these crops, equal to12.30%of thenational total output value,76times of the total value of beekeeping industry.(2)beekeeping industry is very important to the fruit industry and China food safety. Inall kinds of crops, bees pollination contributes most to the fruits and nuts, reaching177.9billons, accounting for58.48%of the total value. It also makes a greatcontribution to cotton, rapeseed and beans. Every year the value of bees pollinationto the cotton and rapeseed is45.836billons and16.482billions respectively, equal tothe output value of43.00%and76.00%.(3)Bees pollination has great replacement value, which of the bees pollinationfor apple trees and pear trees in Shania province is as much as8.39×109Yuan, equalto6.44%of the fruit gross out-put value in the whole province. Bees pollinationorganized by people for apples averagely saves554.48Yuan than artificialpollination, equivalent to nearly38%of the apple value.(4)Chinese peasants have certain cognition to bees and bees pollination. Theygenerally realize the necessity of bees resource conservation project and over76%peasants are willing to pay a certain fee for the project. However, the generalcognition of peasants is in low level, and there are still numerous cognitive errors.More than40%of peasants do not think bees pollination is a necessary input ofagriculture, and36.83%of peasants consider that the bees pollination can bereplaced. Only38.33%of peasants plan to rent bees to pollinate in agriculturalproduction, and they accept only the low price, mainly1-50Yuan per swarm.(5)The main factors affecting peasants willingness to pay the bees pollinationare as follows: personal factors such as peasants' cognition on the function of thebees pollination, attitude to bees resource conservation and experience of beekeeping;family factors as the size of peasants' family, whether has non-agricultural income or not, and the area of fruit cultivation; community factors including the condition ofbeekeeping and bees resources in the communityFinally, in order to promote the development of the career of bees pollinationin our country, this paper puts forward four suggestions: strengthen the subject statusof government in supporting beekeeping industry and promoting the development ofthe career of bees pollination; perfect the market service system of bees pollinationand enhance the construction of professional pollination teams; with the peasanthouseholds as the center, set up the needs assessment mechanism of bees pollinationservice in our country and bring the policy guidance into a full play.
