Bamboo stands management is different from that of trees. Because thereare some bamboo timbers and shoots being cut from bamboo stands yearly, and theeconomic benefit of bamboo stands comes out obviously and quickly. So, iniensivemanagement of bamboo stands as that in agriculture has been taken in mountain areaswith good communication. Fertilization is thought as an important method of intensivemanagement. But for a long time, bamboo fertilization in China has been always reliedon traditional experiences. In this paper, the counting-fertilization research on Mosobamboo stands is conducted by Fertilizer Effect Function Methods in North-Fujian andMid-JiangXi, the central of bamboo growing region. Meanwhile, in order to protectenvironment, maintain sustainable development of bamboo production, and seek a newfertilization method to bamboo stands, the associative N2-fixation research in bamboorhizosphere has been conducted too.Firstly, with three factors design of universal quadratic rotation combination, themodels are established about the effects ofN, P and K fertilizer on the relative growthrate of new Moso bamboo standing culm output in Shaowu of Fujian Province(North-Fujian). By F-test, the regression model is significant within confidence limit of95%. The analysis of the fertilizer principal effect shows thatN, P and K have differenteffects on the output of new moso standing culm, the action order in this test is:N>P>K. 2-factors interaction analysis shows that there is a positive imeractionbetween N and K, but there is no significant interaction betweenN and P, as well as Pand K. By computer simulating, the optimum fertilization combination is designed(within the confidence limit of 95%)as follows: urea 325.5~4l3.4kg/hm2.superphosphate 208.5~295.5kg/hm2 and potassium chloride l98~267kg/hm2.To study the effect of original standing culm density on bamboo growing, anotherexperiment was conducted with the optimum design of four factors quadraticregression at Yifeng of Jiangxi province. The models have been established about theeffects ofN, P and K fertilizer and original standing culm density on the yield of Mosobamboo stand. Meanwhile, according to the input and output price, another relevanteconomic benefit model is established too. By F-test, the regression models areremarkable within the confidence limit of 99%. The result of T-test shows that theeffects of density and nitrogen fertilizer are significat on new standing culm yield. They are tyPical effect models being determined by the eXtrCme value of funtion.Wth marginal utlity analysis, the oPtmum yield model is established and itsparameters are xl=0.5l25, X2=0.0579, x3=0.2570 and x4=0.9424. The consequelltmaximuxn fertilianion amoUn and original standing culm density are calculated. Theyare: urea 489kg/hm', suPerphosphate 233 kg/hIn', potassium chloride l9l kg/hm andculm density 23l6 culmshan2. The ratio of N: P2O5: K2O is 1: 0.124: 0.509. TheconseqUen maximum yield of new standing culm is: Ya max = 43.2than. Bybi-frequency analysis of yield and the economic benefit, the optimurn coInbination offertiliZaion and culIn density is designed Wthin the confidence limits of 95% asfollows: urea 488607.6kg/lUn', average 548kg/hIn'; suPerphosphate252.726l.2kg/hIn', average 257 kg/hIn'; potassium chloride 43.3l23.2kghan',average 832 kg/lun; culm density 23632582culms/hm, average 2472cu1ms.The comPrehensive effect analysis of all tCsted factors shows that the action orderof factors to yield in thes test is: culm density>N>K>PThe Fertilizer Effect Function being established through above researches can givea macroscope guide for moso stand fertilization in some regions. In order to make uPthe insufficiency, due to some areas differences in soil or climate, further researchusing nutrient diagnosis mCthod to control some stands' fertility is conducted in thispaPeL The qUadratic regression model is made out about...
