Study On Acupuncture Therapy Of Dredging Governor Vessel For Regulating Mentality In Post Ischemic Stroke Aphasia Patients

ObjectiveTo study the efficacy of acupuncture therapy of dredging governor vessel for regulating mentality in post ischemic stroke aphasia patients, in order to alleviate the suffering of patients, and established a standardized treatment approaches of acupuncture for its further promotMethodsThe study used a randomized controlled trial design.90participants were divided into three groups:(1) Basic group with30cases,(2)Routine group with30cases,(3) Therapy group with30cases.In which,(1) Basic group with30cases use the basic treatment included drug treatment and rehabilitation training. The drug therapy, referring to China Guidelines on Prevention and Management of Cerebral Vascular Diseases, published by Ministry of Health Disease Control Division of Neruology Institute of the Chinese Medical Association2005. And the rehabilitation training program was mainly based on the3rd edition of the Public Health Department planned textbook Medical Rehabilitation published by People's Health Publishing House. To set up specific rehabilitation training program,1times daily. for12times.(2)Routine group with30cases were given routine acunpuncture treatment addition to the basic treatments. Points DU15, RN23, HT5and ST40, and ausiliary points selected on syndrome differentiation. once daily with30minutes retention, all for12times.(3) Therapy group with30cases were treated with dredging governor vessel for regulating mentality acupuncture therapy addition to the basic treatments. Points DU20, DU16, DU15, GB20, EX-HN12, EX-HN13, LU7, KI6and RN23were slected, and ausiliary points selected on syndrome differentiation. The acupuncture manipulation of DU20requrirements needle tip and the point at a30degree angle, pinprick1.5inches along the subcutaneously, to make the local parts of body feel swells and numb, or radiation to the head,twist rate about200times per minute,every5minutes once, and every time use2minutes. The acupuncture manipulation of DU16requrirements penetrate needle to DU16. The acupuncture manipulation of GB20requrirements needle towards the Adam's apple, once daily with30minutes retention, all for12times.All the patients were measured with National Institute of Hospital Stroke Scale (NIHSS) for neurologic deficit evaluation, Barthel Index (BI) for daily living activities assessment, Aphasia Battery Chinese (ABC) for patients'spontaneous speech, listening comprehension, repetition, named ability.Results1. Changes in NIHSSNIHSS evaluation of the therapy group and routine group were significantly decreased than before (P<0.05), and the basic group was not (P>0.05). There was significant differences of NIHSS evaluations before and after12days treatment among three groups (P<0.05), Between every two groups, the therapy group was significantly different from the other (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference between the routine group and basic group (P>0.05).2. Changes in BIBI evaluation of the therapy group and routine group were significantly increased than before (P<0.05), and the basic group was not (P>0.05). There was significant differences of BI evaluations before and after12days treatment among three groups (P<0.05), Between every two groups, the therapy group was significantly different from the other (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference between the routine group and basic group (P>0.05).3. Changes in spontaneous speechSpontaneous speech evaluation of the therapy group and routine group were significantly increased than before (P<0.05), and the basic group was not (P>0.05). There was significant differences of spontaneous speech evaluations before and after12days treatment among three groups (P<0.05), Between every two groups, the therapy group was significantly different from the other (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference between the routine group and basic group (P>0.05).4. Changes in listening comprehensionListening comprehension evaluation of the therapy group and routine group were significantly increased than before (P<0.05), and the basic group was not (P>0.05). There was significant differences of listening comprehension evaluations before and after12days treatment among three groups (P<0.05), Between every two groups,the therapy group was significantly different from the other (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference between the routine group and basic group (P>0.05).5. Changes in repetitionRepetition evaluation of the therapy group and routine group were significantly increased than before (P<0.05), and the basic group was not (P>0.05).There was significant differences of repetition evaluations before and after12days treatment among three groups (P<0.05), Between every two groups, the therapy group was significantly different from the other (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference between the routine group and basic group (P>0.05).6. Changes in named abilityNamed ability evaluation of the therapy group and routine group were significantly increased than before (P<0.05), and the basic group was not (P>0.05). There was significant differences of named ability evaluations before and after12days treatment among three groups (P<0.05), Between every two groups, the therapy group was significantly different from the other (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference between the routine group and basic group (P>0.05).ConclusionThe acupuncture therapy of dredging governor vessel for regulating mentality has significant curative effect. Whether in the improvement of neurological function and limb function or in the improvement of advantages in patients'language ability. The acupuncture therapy of dredging governor vessel for regulating mentality is a standard therapy of ischemic stroke aphasia patients, Its experience is worth learning and further popularizing for the workers of acupuncture, and we should to improve it congtinuously in clinical practice.
