Chromatography hyphenated technology like HPLC-DAD-TOF/MS was employed toanalyze the components in the wide-used Chinese patantdrug-liuweidihuangwan(LWDHW). The databases of chemical components in the herbwere established firstly. The peaks in the chromatographic fingerprint of LWDHW wereidentified by comparing the characters and structural elucidation with HPLC-IT/MS andthe better distinct fingerprint was obtained. The HPLC method was established todeterminate the contents of5-HMF, gallic acid, loganin, sweroside, paeoniflorin andpaeonol in LWDHW.Kidney-yin-vacuity was modling to study the effect of LWDHW on the immunity forKidney-yin-vacuity rat. The diseases treated by LWDHW ralate to the dysfunction ofhypothalamus-pituitary-gonad. The changes of hormonal readiness in each units ofHypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian Axis in ovariectomized female rats are abserved toresearch the effect of LWDHW in internal secretion of animals.Near infrared spectroscopy combined the established chromatographic method wasemployed to determinate the several active components in the sections of automatic line toproduce LWDHW. The new quality control model ofChinese Materia Medica production was constructed according to the interal quality ofTCM.The chromatographic fingerprints of LWDHW with different manufactures anddifferent preparations were established. Several multivariable data analysis methods suchas PCA, HCA and PLS-DA were employed to evaluate the quality of LWDHW withdifferent manufactures and different preparations and the chemical marks was obtained tobe as the indicial compounds.Least Angle Regression Algorithm was applied to evaluate the relationship ofchromatographic fingerprints and pharmacological action of LWDHW. Combinedinformation of fingerprints and pharmacology of11batchs LWDHW were used to get theative ingridents. The established method layed the foundation of TCM quality controlrelated to pharmacology.
