Part I The Clinical Application and Features of the 16-slice Spiral CT for Aortic Dissection PURPOSE: To evaluate the value of 16-slice spiral computed tomography (SCT) and its three-dimensional reconstruction in diagnosis of aortic dissection (AD).MATERIALS AND METHODS: 42 cases with classic aortic dissection (AD) and 12 cases with intramural hematoma (IMH) underwent 16-slice SCT, performed with unenhanced and contrast-enhanced scanning. Three-dimensional reconstructions were performed on all patients, including multiple planar reconstruction (MPR), maximum intensity projection (MIP), and volume rendering (VR), et al. Twelve cases and two cases were conformed by operation and digital subtraction angiography, respectively.
