Hypospadias is a common congenital malformation of the urogenital system in paediatric urologic surgery. Although there are 200 more different techniques for the repair of hypospadias. the results remains unsatisfactory. Six male cadaver specimen were injected with a latex solution or 30% ABS solution to define the cutaneous blood supply of the penis. The author found that the skin of the penis and prepuce is supplied by the superficial penile arteriesderived from the external pudendal arteries. The superficial penile arteries continue to be the terminal dorsolateral and rentrolateral branches in proximal penile shaft which lie within the dartos layer. The venae comi -tantes drain into the long saphenous. There is no skin perforators from the deeper dorsal penile arteries, in the penile shaft. Our abovementioned discovery supplies the anatomical foundation for the clinical application of a variety of the island penile skin and prepuce flaps. The new discovery of the terminal ventrolateral branches of thesuperficial penile artery demonstrated that the vertrolateral skin of the penis. Can be raised as an axial -pattern island flap. Therefore, we designed a new technique for one-stage repair of hypospadias. This technique includes two innovative points: 1)the neourethra...
