Background and Objective The signal transducer and activator of transcription-3 (STAT3) participates in various biological processes, including proliferation, diferentiation and apoptosis of cell. It has been reported to be expressed abnormily in different types of malignant tumours, but there are hardly any data about its expression in laryngeal tumours. Survivin is a newly discovered member of inhibitor of apoptosis protein, IAP. It is expressed in many carcinomas, but the study of the correlation of Survivin and cell signaling pathway in laryngeal carcinoma is rare. In this thesis, by researching the expression of STAT3 and Survivin in human laryngeal carcinoma tissues and its correlation with clinicopathological parameters of laryngeal carcinoma, we explored their role mechanism in the occurrence and development of laryngeal tumour; by researching the correlation of expression of STAT3 and Survivin, to determine the role of STAT3 in the apoptosis of laryngeal carcinoma and its possible mechanism, to provide theoretical base for biological therapy of laryngeal carcinoma targeted STAT3.Methods Immunohistochemistry(IHC)was used to detect the protein expression of STAT3, p-STAT3 and Survivin in 40 laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma tissues and 12 normal control laryngeal mucous tissues. The expressions of STAT3 mRNA and Survivin mRNA were detected in 40 laryngeal squamous carcinoma tissues and 12 normal control laryngeal...
