| Chronic laryngitis is named "jiu yin" and "chronic laryngeal yin" of TCM. It ischronic unspecific inflammation of laryngeal mucous membranes. It's characterized byperennial vocal hoarseness and laryngeal dryness. Chronic laryngitis is a common diseasein clinic. It has three kinds: chronic simple laryngitis, chronic hypertrophic laryngitis andchronic atrophic laryngitis. As for western medicine, its pathogenesis is not clear, butoverwork of vocal cord is the main reason at present. From the point of view of TCM, thepathogenesis is deficiency of lung-spleen-kidney. There are a lot of reports aboutpathogenesis, therapy, curative effect and prognosis of chronic laryngitis. In this thesis, weprobe into in theory and make a clinical research aiming at pathogenesis, clinicalmanifestation and therapy of chronic laryngitis.Objectives: Through the observation of the changes of voice, maximum vocal timeand vocal cords and false vocal cords in laryngoscope, we evaluated the curative effect of thetherapy of pulse electric stimulating and massaging Renying point and Shuitu point. At thesame time, we assessed the efficacy and safety of this therapy.Methods: 140 cases were chosen as study subjects according to the western medicinediagnostic criterion of chronic laryngitis and the TCM diagnostic criterion of chroniclaryngeal yin. All cases were evenly divided into two groups: test group and controlledgroup. Test group was treated by pulse electric stimulating and massaging Renying pointand Shuitu point. Controlled group was given Huangshi xiangsheng pills. One course oftreatment was 21 days. We observed the changes of vocal hoarseness, laryngeal dryness,congestion and edema of vocal cords, close grades, maximum vocal time and results ofvocal analysis on the 7th, 14th,21st day of treatment respectively.Results: Prior to the study, there was no significant statistic difference between the twogroups. They were comparable. Through treating, the cured, significant effective, improvedand ineffective cases of test group were 6, 41, 22, 1, respectively. Its total effective rate was98.57%. And the cured, significant effective, improved and ineffective cases of controlledgroup were 1, 14, 42, 13, respectively. And its effective rate was 81.43%. Compared withcontrolled group, test group had a better curative effect by statistical test(P＜0.05). Theadvantages of the therapy of pulse electric stimulating and massaging Renying point and Shuitu point were fewer side effects and low cost.Conclusions: The therapy of pulse electric wave and massage Renying point andShuitu point has a good curative effect on treating chronic laryngitis. |
